Is age 5 too young
Hi, I really want to go again, we were due to go in 2017, but I found out I was pregnant so had to transfer the holiday to another destination last year, as I had no one to look after her whilst I went on with my eldest. I was just wondering if five is too young to take my daughter, I want her to be able to go on some rides as well as enjoy the Disney characters etc.
Thanks in advance |

No. Definitely not. I took my dd for her first trip age 3. And my youngest was only 3 months.
5 is a perfect age. There’s loads of rides they can do and only a handful that they can’t ride. Plus they still believe in everything which adds to the magic. |

I always said 7 but last year took a 4 year old and she loved it. She wasn't big enough for most of the rides, but she didn't care it was all about the characters and the shows for her.

First time I took my daughter to WDW she was 5. Was 4 when we first went to DLP.
My son was 1 for DLP and 2 for WDW. They’ve both loved it at every age we’ve taken them My youngest will be just shy of 1 when we take her next year. So we will have an 11, 4 and just about 1 year old when we go. Edited at 11:54 PM. |

Thank you all, she is quite tall for her 19months as it is so I’m sure by 5 years she’ll be fine. I just wanted to ask from those who have travelled with younger ones. My eldest will be 18 then but she maintains she still wants to go, 😂

5 is magical. My DD was 5 and 3m her first trip and it was amazing watching her enjoy it. I always say 5-8 are the perfect magical years. She wasn’t old enough to ride everything (well, tall enough) but she was in heaven. For some perspective she’s now nearly 18 and a compete Disney film/parks fanatic. DS has dumped us at 20 and rolls his eyes. He loves it until he was 13 as well though!

For ref my 4.5 year old girl is only just over 40’ in height and is loving splash and thunder mountain and everything else disney!
Feels like 5 is a perfect age as they can take 5 hours in the parks and can go on everything at mk except space and they can do test track, soaring, tower of terror etc if they are that way inclined! |
