Reading Glasses

Where do you get your reading glasses? They have become indispensable in my house for both DH and me and we both have a prescription of just 1.5/2 at the moment so can pretty much buy them from anywhere but I don't like cheap cheap, if you know what I mean.

My most recent pair were £18 from WH Smith but have developed a bubble in the lense so I'm on the hunt again ...

I think I am also going to have to have a pair permanently round my neck or in my handbag too as I could blessed read the labels in Tesco at lunch time!

Poundland for me too because I keep losing them. I find them more comfortable to wear than my distance glasses for driving because the frames are so light.

Well although Louise's are VERY jazzy, Poundland is currently in the lead!

How much are they? Please don't say a pound ... I will be so embarrassed that I asked the question!

We both have pretty decent reading glasses for work / going out that we got from the local optician and selected our own frames same as you would if getting glasses for short sightedness.

But for around the house we use cheap pairs. At one point I was spending £15-£20 and bought from online places like goodlookers.co.uk and similar I think there is a reading glasses direct, but I found they didn’t last. So for around the house now we do go very cheap and usually spend a couple of pounds a pair at Tesco. Our prescriptions are +1.5.
