Food and drink in hold baggage / security at airport

My son has a dairy allergy and an eating disorder with regards to how much he eats so at 2 and a half still has a lot of non dairy milk in his diet. He drinks oat milk at the rate of 1 litre a day, i have found oat milk stocked at walmart so know i can purchase some in Orlando however i probably wont be able to get there until our first full day, i am hoping to take a couple of 1 litre cartons to last until then but am concerned about them being in the hold of the plane and if they will 'explode' (i have nightmares about getting our cases dripping with milk! )
Has anybody taken anything similar in their hold baggage? or has any advice?
Also does anybody know if i will be able to take any through security as i can't buy it in the airport and he will need some on the flight. I can put it in his drink bottle, i know you can take cows milk for babies but unsure about oat milk for a toddler?
Thank you

I found this, it may help. I know you can take milk through security, just not the exact rules.

Give yourself extra time to get through security in case they examine it. I've also read you may have to taste it.

In the suitcase, buy some giant sandwich bags with a zip top and pack the milk in those. I pack shampoo and everything liquid in them. So far, I've not had any leaks.

Hope it goes well!
