Busy, but fireworks are worth the crowds in my opinion, we have been at Epcot the past two visits and they are spectacular

That's when we go every year. It's busy but very manageable. We tend to go in the mornings back to our resort in the afternoons then back at night again.

Weather is hot and humid so air conditioning is very welcome! Thunderstorms happen most afternoons but you can see them coming and usually don't last too long. In fact last year we had hardly any rain!

We avoid the parks on the 4th now. They are packed and not pleasant so we go shopping instead now. Dinner on the 4th is at California Grill to watch the fireworks.

A good tip is to watch the 4th July fireworks on the 3rd - slightly less busy.

We went last year as a late availability. It was probably the best time we had in Florida. The weather helped it was scorching, unseasonably hot 40*. I don't like going to Magic when it's rammed but I have to say the Fireworks were something else has to been seen. I didn't think apart from that day the parks where overly busy. It has gone down as a fantastic holiday better then our Honeymoon back in 2000 but we've been several times but this was our first June/July holiday and would definitely do it again.

Have celebrated 4th July in Washington D C (free concert with Stevie Wonder on the Capitol lawn), San Francisco and at Disneyland California and had brilliant times. If you don't fancy crowds on the 4th at Magic Kingdom, go see the fireworks 3rd July when they do the dress rehearsal.

Thanks guys, we are just a little worried about the crowds as we very rarely queue for anything in Sept/Oct

You're going to queue in July, it's in the US holiday season.

We did the 4th of July because it was our honeymoon, we've been all different times of the year it was absoulty super busy it makes going in August a doddle! That's for sure.. You will definitely be queuing that's for sure, but I think if you with that in mind you will be fine but we still had a fantastic time,.

Due to school holiday dates, our time at Disney has always overlapped with 4th July. We've tried a couple of different options on the day, to be honest I'm not sure it matters what you do as most parks will be busy anyway. My own preference is to stay by the pool most of the day and then head out to Disney Springs for dinner and enjoy the atmosphere there.
