Try third party sites such as eBookers, uscarhire etc or even site crawlers such as Kayak

We missed out on Alamo Brits last year - price went through the roof during one weekend

But got much the same as my original price from eBookers

Agree Alamo Brits asking £593 for our 15 days at Easter where as we got £370 from US Rent A car with Dollar and Gold insurance which includes Extra Driver and first tank of fuel.

Motto as always shop around for best deal that suits your group.
I use uscarhire.com as best young driver package when booking.

When it was at a lower price I booked it, if it did go down I could get a refund. so my top tip is if the price is good book it and pay in advance or pay now.

Same for us too! Wish we had booked earlier. Does anyone think prices will drop again? Will watch and Def book if they do.

Maybe they realised what other companies were charging. I booked intermediate SUV for next August £400ish for 3 weeks, everywhere else wanted around £1000!

They will go down before you go. We do a dummy run at least once a week to price check.

I was just going to post the same thing. A few days ago 7 seat suv alamo brits from Miami returning miami for 17 days £398. Waited to be paid so I could book it. Today £709. What a massive increase. On the hunt now for a more reasonable quote and hope it comes down. Rang alamo brits to be told prices are more likely to keep going up rather than come down.

Look on Skyscanner for car hire. Alamo brits was way too high for our dates for Christmas and found a great deal for an SUV back in July through Holiday Autos with Budget. I am so GLAD I booked back then because right now...rates are £700+ just for a car!
