I really wanted these but they worked out at £3000 for 5 windows. So we got roman blinds instead 😟

I would love them too but so so costly. It’s not our forever house so stuck with curtains for now. They are great for blocking out light though

I just priced up our front room window which isn’t big and it was over £500. The bedroom window which is very small was £200.

I think it’s roller blinds for me.

We put shutters in the home office about five years ago, it was not a big window and was about £350.

More recently I did the front windows downstairs, two fairly large windows and I also did a small window upstairs in the box room that I made into a dressing room. It was about £3500 for all three. That is quite disproportional to what I spent on the home office but I went for a better quality for these rooms and we used Thomas Sanderson.

One thing I remember them saying was that the shutters with the bar in the middle (that you use to open and close) tend to be poorer quality. Indeed the one in my home office is like this, it is a bit rickety and it is noticeably different quality to the shutters in the house.

I have just taken a few snaps, they are a bit dark so sorry if not very helpful. I love my shutters, so please we did them. I tend to keep the lower portion shut a lot as the dog will bark at anything he sees outside, like snow for example, he has been barking all day at snow falling.

We looked at getting them too, but couldn’t justify the cost. We went for the night and day blinds instead which I actually love.

We had 7 smallish windows done and it cost about £2,000, an unexpected benefit is that they act as good insulators at this time of year. We opted to go without the tilt bar and each quarter of the shutters can operate independently

We ve had them put on both sets of patio doors as they are south facing and I’m thinking they will provide shade and privacy as we are quite overlooked
They bifold and I’m so glad we got them
