Mobile What to do with 4 nights spare after landing in Miami?

Our family (2 adults, 4 kids aged 1714,13,9) are flying out for 7 weeks next summer 😍 Starting in Philadelphia, then New York, then flying to Miami. We check in to our villa in Orlando 4 nights later, where we have 5 weeks.

I’m after ideas of where to spend those spare four nights?
We’ve done the Keys before, and the Gulf coast. Thought about Miami Beach, but it seems very expensive and not sure it is our thing.
Any other ideas? Maybe somewhere on the east coast other than Miami? Would love some suggestions pls.

Have a look at lauderdale by the sea, Hollywood beach, Vero Beach, Deerfield beach, all nice areas with lots of hotels and stuff going on!

We flew to Miami and then did a road trip of the west coast, we watched the sunset, hired a boat, saw the dolphins. It was lovely.

You cross the State ON the Tamiami Trail - the clue is in the name - Tampa to Miami - Tamiami.

We took this road to get from Miami to Naples this summer - plenty of places to stop and explore the local wildlife, some Native American Indian stores and the smallest post office as you reach the end

if going from Miami to Naples on the Tamaimi trail, turn left into Everglades city, good ranger station there does boat tours into the swamps and inlets, saw mannite families, dolphins, sea eagles, etc, just remember your "DEET" bug spray, you'll need it!
