Traumatic morning.
Thank God for our NHS, it’s services and staff.
This morning my son was woke by his fiancé’s phone alarm. When he tried to wake her, she was not responding. She is type 1 dietetic, so he immediately phoned 999. While the operator was taking the details, his fiancé started to convulse and stopped breathing. The operator talked my son through the CPR process and he managed to get her breathing again. She is currently in hospital, he was told he couldn’t go with her, but he had a call from them a short while ago and it looks like she will be ok. My son is very shook up, as we all are, I can’t praise him and our wonderful NHS enough.

What a frightening experience for him, but the outcome could have been so different if she had been alone.
Wishing her well and well done to your son, he must have been so worried |

How awful for him (and her, of course!). And, yes, thank goodness for the NHS.

Glad to hear that she is on the mend. That must have been a horrible scare all around. Well done to your son for responding so calmly.
As an aside , when you say woken by her phone alarm is that a get up alarm or your blood sugars are a problem alert alarm? If the former good job it went off then, if the latter what an amazing thing software can be. Hope her recovery is swift. |
