Anybody used a packing service when moving?

My mum used the packing service from the removal company 2 years ago. It was totally worth every penny. Everything was so carefully wrapped. Her biggest issue was getting rid of all the packing materials after she'd unpacked it!

We had the same issue! But as we had moved to a house with an open fire we all sat rolling it up and tying it into knots to keep for starting the fire - it's just newspaper after all!

Yep used packers for my last 2 moves, wouldn't move without them, it takes away SO much time and stress.

I generally hire a skip around a week before then go around decluttering, then the day before moving go to work, when I come home everything's packed ready to go and I get cleaners in.

Perfect.

I don't have the time or inclination to pack the entire house up.

We have never moved without one - and never would! We've had them pack the day before and stayed with friends overnight - although they will leave beds until moving day and basic essentials if that's not an option. We are preparing to move at the moment - hopefully to our forever home now all the girls are living independent lives (we have told them where we are going!) and packers are top of the list. The declutter and skip hire is planned for the next couple of weekends
