Halloween
Hi all, it is our first disney trip next week! We will be there for halloween but not going to mnsshp. We were flying with thomas cook and been trying to manage all of that so my planning and organising has been put on hold.anyway Any suggestions of things to do on the 31st if you don't have tickets for the party? We are staying onsite. Also do most adults dress up? am i right in thinking there always a scary theme to dressing up? Tia x

No most adults don't dress up TBH. There definitely isn't always a scary theme to dressing up. It was one of the biggest differences with Halloween I noticed when I lived in the UK. Here kids wear any kind of costumes at all.

Hi Tia,
I see that you are staying ‘on site’ at Disney so I am assuming you haven’t hired a car for your stay. However, if you are able to get a taxi/Uber down to Celebration for Halloween you can be sure there will be a lot going on. Many of the homes are very elaborately decorated and they all have lots of treats for the children. There is no entry charge. Just join any of the groups that are walking around and let your young ones fill their goodie bags. We were there in 2017 and were very pleasantly surprised at the residents’ enthusiasm. They really enter into the spirit of the occasion. As Donna says, most adults don’t dress up, but some of the home owners in Celebration do wear costumes, with a few in outfits that match the themes of their decorated houses . When we went, our grandchildren really enjoyed themselves there and we had a great time taking them around. We hope to be out there at the end of this month with some family members and friends and plan to include another visit to the Halloween activities at Celebration. If you do go there by taxi/Uber you will avoid the hassle of parking, which can be a bit of a problem, unless you can get there early/mid-afternoon. It does get very busy and parking spots close by fill up quickly. Kind regards, John |

We stayed on site and were there for Halloween last year, like you did not do the mnsshp. The resort did some activities and were giving away treats, my children came away with lots of goodies so were very happy. As with above advice I hear celebration is decorated well but we never got the chance to explore it ourselves

Celebration is fantastic but very crowded if you don't get there very early.
