Doubt it was it wouldn't be finanically worth it for the customer. As I have a child working for Tesco we get the 10% discount everytime we shop which frankly is brilliant. What surprised me about this deal is that over the weekend Tesco were doing a deal with their clothes. In short 25% off all clothes. They also had a £5 of £30 voucher in the free magazine. Colleague cards also get 20% off clothes at all times.
Therefore over the weekend we have done a number of £40 clothes shops. The £40 became £30 with the 25% discount. The £5 off £30 then also kicked in and we also got the 20% staff discount. That made it around £18.75 for £40 of clothes. Lots of present bought for not much money as the kids are of an age that socks and underwear are good. However and here goes my point. Clubcard plus customers did not get the 10% discount on top of the 25% which frankly if they are going to penny pinch like that we won't be joining. In theory we can join the plus and get 20% off a couple of shops. Won't be doing it as Tesco already do 2 or 3 20% weekends for staff over the year. |
