Insurance policies
We are at the stage where we are about to pull the trigger on flights for 2022. This will be a return to Japan for a few weeks. I am looking at insurance policies and was wondering if anyone had any decent looking policies in these odd times. I dont have one with my bank and dont intend changing accounts to use one (so those wouldnt be suitable).
The main point is that at this moment in time, the advice is that Japanese borders are closed to foreign travel. By April -> July next year (our travel window), I am gambling that this will have changed so am looking at booking the flights - these will have "no refund but can change the date with only price difference and no fees to do so", flights with "refund" capability were astronomical. I am under no illusion that this is a guess (albeit educated) that I will be allowed into the country from April 2022. I do not intend booking hotels until 90 days (or a refundable hilton sale etc). Although I will be making reservations, I dont intend booking non refundable until I am very sure it will be open or it would be covered. So my main question is insurance for people who have booked 2022 holidays - who have you used and what covid-esque cover did it have? |
