Insurance

Hope someone can help with this one.

We are heading off to Florida in 8/1 and then picking up a cruise on 18/1 for 11 nights

NCL have just announced that if we cannot board the ship due to a positive test they will not refund or allow us to reschedule the trip.

Because of this I’m assuming we would need to claim on holiday insurance if that happened? Anyone know if this is correct or any restrictions.
I’m assuming that travel insurance will kick in if supplier won’t refund?

Any guidance gratefully received - thanks Dibbers !

Most travel insurance will cover you if you catch covid, or test positive before your trip. It is worth checking your own insurance to make sure that you are covered for what is needed, and maybe phoning them if you have any specific questions regarding the cover. Cover varies greatly from provider to provider and between different policies, I know some insurance have specific cruise cover as well.

It depends on the terms and conditions of the policy that you have taken out - best to check with your provider to see if you are covered for that situation.
