Christmas Dinner Help please

So we always struggled with space in our over on Christmas day. Our main oven is fan and our top over is small and rubbish.

So thought we could make chicken casserole in our slow cooker to fee up space for all the trimmings. We're going to do small chicken fillets 6-8 with a Swartz casserole packet. Any idea how long and low, medium or high? We want to eat around 1pm.

Ideally wouldn't put any veg in slow cooker but would this make sauce too runny?

Thanks for any advice xx

Depending on the size of your slow cooker, you could roast a chicken or turkey crown if you preferred.

I end to use my smaller slow cooker for chicken breasts but if you don’t have one this works just as welll
Lay chicken in slow cooker add a 1/4 quarter of a cup of chicken stock or make up the sauce mix as instructed and use a 1/4 cup
I add a couple of tea spoons of butter makes all the difference and cook on high 3 hours always comes out tender and juicy but you can omit the butter
It’s a Walmart recipe

Doesn't make much difference really, it is still going to take a similar time to heat through properly. You may just want to turn it down a bit earlier but that's about all.

I do a Christmas dinner for 6 or 7 in a normal oven.
I put 2x chickens in a large roasting tin, and use the other rack for a big tray of roast potatoes roasted carrots, and parsnips.
I take them out half an hour to serving, wrap in foil and tea towels and put in a tray of pigs in blankets and stuffing on the lower shelf, and make Yorkies on the top shelf.
Then gravy and veg in the pans on the hob...
lots of food, no issues at all
