Calgary

We have the 10pm flight from Calgary.

We will be in Banff and will have been in Banff for 3 days.

What is there to do in Calgary? It's really not inspiring me at the moment. Should we just stay in the Banff area?

I personally don't like Calgary. If your flight is at 10pm, I guess you need to be dropping your car off at 6.30pm?

There are two things worth doing in Calgary -

the luge at the Olympic park is fun,

And crossiron mills outlets (not too far from the airport) is a lovely mall. Very big.

Calgary zoo is fine, but just like any other zoo - no pandas or koalas but a nice zoo.

I'd spend the morning/lunch in Banff area, then head to crossiron mills, then go to the airport from there.

Yes we did this a few years back, its a really nice day out if the weather is nice. We had two children age 2 and 6 at the time and they like it too. Another place you could try is calawaypark/

Personally we much preferred Banff to Calgary. Landed there and spent 3 days and did the Calgary Tower and the Olympic Park. Wandered around the city. Drove to Banff and absolutely loved it. Between Calgary and Banff is a place called Canmore which is also lovely so you could maybe stop there?

Oh yes Canmore is lovely, you should try to visit there. I spent a year living in Banff and it is an amazing place.

We spent a couple of days last year - did Calgary Tower, the Olympic Park, Heritage Park, Bow Museum and wandered around. We enjoyed it. We liked Banff but it was a bit 'touristy'.
