I had the same problem when using Microsoft Outlook, no way would it work, I used Google Chrome on the tablet and it went straight through.

Try doing it through a different browser like google chrome, Firefox etc

Not sure why but seems to work better for me. There's a thread on here about skipping the counter if booked through a third party. Just put in a search on here for third party skip the counter Alamo and you should be able to find it.

That reminds me I must do mine shortly

Yes, we skipped the counter last week and the Alamo rep at the garage only looked at our car rental voucher

I had the same issue when i tried to use the link in my email reservation for Alamo Brits.
I went to alamo and put in my reservation that way and i could successfully check in and skip the counter.
It allows you to print the voucher too.
