Roadworks will be going on for months, still 3 lanes maintained all the way. No real affect on traffic.

As has already been said above, work will be ongoing for some time yet. Keep an eye on road works updates on
i4ultimate. I think most of the closures happen overnight so you shouldn't be affected too much. Would avoid the rush hours if at all possible. I find the 417 much easier driving, less traffic but you obviously have the tolls on this route.

It will be I imagine late afternoon when we drive, I think the sensible thing is to go on the 417.
