High Copper reading in blood
Just seeing if anyone has any experience of this?
DD, 15, had had a fair few blood tests recently and is under a consultant ( Originally for tummy aches _ which have now disappeared) First her white blood count was low, retested a month later and it was better, but then liver enzymes were low. Tested again and the liver is ok but the copper level is high. She has now had more blood tests to check, amongst other things, the zinc level. I try to take on as much info as i can but it seems very complex to me. We have been told possible reasons for high copper are that the zinc may be low due to a vegetarian diet. Wilson’s disease was also mentioned. I can not fault how thorough the hospital are being. We also have a skin prick allergy test next month as she is allergic to nuts. She appears fit and healthy though so that is reassuring |
