Mexico on a cruise leaving the US
Hi Dibbers
I am 99.99% sure I’m right but would appreciate confirmation if you don’t mind! I’m on a short cruise from New Orleans with stops at Cozumel and Costa Maya. We’ve done a cruise to one of those ports previously and didn’t need any extra documentation (passport obviously) and will hold ESTAs too for NOLA. A couple of people have cast doubt in my mind that we will need something extra for Mexico? I didn’t think so but I’m now a bit worried. Would love to know what you have found (thought you’d be friendlier than Google ) recently. Many thanks Karen

We have stopped in Mexico three separate cruises and have never needed anything. In fact, this year we should have been doing the Eastern itinerary but it was changed on embarkation day to two ports in Mexico due to a tropical storm.

Nothing else needed.
If you fly into Mexico for a holiday you have to have an entry stamp on your passport but nothing needed for cruise stops. |
