What to pack?

Two weeks end of July August never been abroad with kids!
Our party is dh.. Paraplegic
Myself
Ds 13 adhd, autism
Ds 10
I need a rough idea of what I'm going to need, we only ever do caravan holidays in the UK so no idea what I'm going to need for two weeks abroad.

I have no personal experience but saw no one had responded. I am American but have traveled to Europe and other American countries. Even in less developed countries they have supplies.

Bring things that you cannot easily get here keeping in mind you are travelling to another developed country. You can buy just about anything you need.

Bring all prescription medication for at least a week longer than your trip and also copies of any prescriptions in case you need them. Also a list of medication and dosage. In the US pharmacies will provide a day or two of medication if yours is lost or delayed (always pack it in hand luggage).

Bring any medical supplies where brand matters. If you have a sensitivity to certain brands or additives, you don't want to be searching for that product only to find all US brands contain something you are sensitive to. If you do find you need all natural with no dyes or additives, Whole Foods is a good source. There's also Amazon.

I would make sure you have medical coverage for the trip. Paying out of pocket for medical care is expensive-even prescription drugs without an insurance plan. My prescription plan pays very little towards the cost of my drugs, but I do get a discounted rate which means a $400. prescription might just cost me $20.

So cruise wise, it depends on the company. Check your booking as it should say how many different nights there will be. There is usually 3 different evening dress codes:

• Casual/Informal - this tends to be t shirts and jeans type dressing for adults
• Semi-Formal - this is more like you'd wear for a nice meal in the UK
• Formal/Dress up night - this is a chance to wear something fancy and push the boat on. On some cruise lines this is formal gowns and tux's. On others (including Disney) its a mix of different levels from nice evening dresses and suits to the full ball gown and tux.

During the day clothing will depend on where the cruise is to and the weather. You will need comfortable shoes for walking in the ports and t-shirts and shorts probably unless its a cold cruise in which case you will need layers. For days on the ship you will need swimwear and similar over clothing probably.

I tend to take too many clothes in all honesty but remember most cruise ships do have laundry if you need it - I tend to plan to do one load if going for more than 7 days.

I would also say make sure you take a cardigan for the evenings as on every cruise I've been on the restaurants and venues at night have air con on and it can be a little chilly.
