OMG the cookies look amazing on the vlogs I’ve been watching 😍

Has anyone been recently, do they taste as good as they look?

Is there always a long queue/virtual queue?

They are absolutely amazing and they last a few days as well - well, as long as you can resist them Queues were long and the first couple of times we went to DS we didn't wait as they were over an hour but we finally managed to get in queue when it was only about 25 minutes - definitely worth it! Best to get there as early in the day as possible and ideally a weekday rather than weekend...

I think they used to do the Gideons cookies at Chef Art Smiths Homecoming. I’m not sure if they are on the menu now they have a shop close by but could be wrong. I hope so as no way I’m queuing but I am going to Homecoming

Homecoming don’t do the cookies. The polite pig used to, they stopped once it was announced Gideons where coming to Disney springs. They only had limited number each day and normally sold out very early, so when we went in 2018, they never had any left every time we went. Looking forward for trying them this summer.

That’s correct. I got Polite Pig and Homecoming mixed up.

I didn't know that about homecomin too - and we ate their in January.
We went to Gideons 3 times! First time was a weekday evening. The line was back to the corner (opp Raglan Road) and took at least 35 minutes.
We went one morning for opening. The line was almost as long, but moved much faster as people are more straight in and out. Probably only 10 mins.

My favourite was the original choc chip, followed closely by the peanut butter.
We also had the double double frosted cake which was massive and lovely.
Also, the morning coffee one tasted more of cinnamon to me, than coffee.

Be warned though, they try to get you to add a tip when you pay. I panicked first of all and added 20%, but was annoyed at myself after as I thought it's just a shop, why am I giving them a tip to pass me a cookie.

We went to DS on our last morning too, and took a couple home and they were just as nice 2 days later.
