Las Vegas and WDW - Day 1 - April 21st 2022

We were all in one room for the first night (luckily just the one night), didn't sleep very well due to DM and DD snoring haha!
Woke as planned properly at 9.45am so DS could open her birthday cards and present. We got ready and then checked out of the Bellagio, leaving our cases with Bell Services.

We went to have a look at the famous conservatory - it was beautiful and smelled so nice!

We walked next door to The Cosmopolitan for brunch at Wicked Spoon. This was so good! One of the cheaper high end buffets but had a wonderful selection of food including unlimited crab legs and a sugar-free chocolate ice cream.

Before travel we had all purchased GoCity passes for Las Vegas; me and DS the All Inclusive pass and DM and DD the Explorer pass. We went to The Linq next to upgrade our included tickets to the Happy Half Hour option to use tonight, this was $35 each.
We went to outside Paris to catch the Deuce Bus up to The Stratosphere. All our passes included access to the top but our All Inclusive passes also included Skyjump (a controlled descent down the outside of the building). We tried to book this for today but everything was closed due to high winds. We settled for a drink at the top, this wasn't my first choice of drink but they couldn't make a decent margarita with real lime juice so ended up with a gin, campari and soda.

We got the bus back down to Bellagio then made the trek to check in at Caesars Palace, this doesn't look that far but really is, especially with suitcases in about 30c heat!
This was our view, this was actually a nicer room than the Bellagio I think.

We got ready and then headed across to the High Roller for our Happy Half Hour. Before you get on there is a photographer taking photos in front of a green screen and you can buy them at the end (after you have been boozing for half an hour and you are more persuadable)! We managed 3 drinks in our half hour, and they were strong!

The rest of the night was a bit of a fail!
We had food credit for Senor Frogs with our GoCity passes so we walked up there. We were 10 minutes too late, they stop serving food and turn into a nightclub only at 10pm. We got an Uber back down to the Miracle Mile shops to try for Ocean One restaurant, but we were too late for there too!
We ended up back at Istanbul Mediterranean where I had exactly the same dinner as the night before!

Looks like a great day!
Are the Go City passes worthwhile or did you find you were just doing things because they were included? Would you recommend them for first time visitors?

I think we got our money's worth because we got to do the Skyjump, I'm not sure that my Mum & Dad got value with their explorer pass. Some of the things we wanted to do we couldn't due to the weather (the Linq Zipline).
I feel like, if everything went to plan, it would be worthwhile to get it.

Mmm, the skyjump and zipline would definitely not be on our list! I’ll look into it though and see what is on it that we might use

Sounds like a fun first day. Bit of a pain about Senor Frogs at the end of the night and the hunt for food.
