Bunk bed rooms at akl

Is there anyway to request a bunk bed room at akl without paying the Ł800 extra? Can I just email and ask or ask on check in? I think it's worth a shot just asking!

Phone WDTC (or your TA if you booked through someone else) and ask them to put a note on your reservation requesting this. The bunk rooms are extremely limited, especially in the standard view room category, so you'll probably be lucky to get one. But never hurts to ask.

It's been a while since we were there (2014) but I phoned them a few days before arrival and requested bunk beds and was allocated a bunk bed Savannah view room at check in. We had booked through Thomas Cook that year.

We had booked a standard room when we went in 2016. Did the Touring Plans fax a few days before saying we didn’t mind about view but requesting a bunk room if at all possible. On arrival we were given a savannah bunk room. It was fab! Rx
