Resort advice
Hi guys
We stayed in a 2 bed Sheraton Vistana Resort Villa in August 2015 through VH - we have decided to DIY this year, VH prices just too steep. However, for a 2 bed the Vistana resort is pricey compared to other choices, but there is a fear that if we go back to a 'not as nice' place, even if it is not that bad, that we be comparing the apartment and being disappointed ( first world problem I know!). Especially as we are planning taking it a bit easier and spend more time there. Bahama Bay is 40% cheaper - so not even close, but Vista Cay and Floridays seem highly rated. I just wondered if perhaps anyone had stayed at the Vistana Resort Villas or similar, then somewhere else, then wished they had paid the extra? Or perhaps much preferred their new choice! Many thanks Mike |

We stayed at Vistana, and then at Disney. It does sound more expensive, but as we dont need to rent a car or arrange airport travel, and Disney dont charge resort fees, it actually worked out cheaper for a moderate hotel.
Just saying, dont want to throw any spanner in the works. I would even choose a Disney value hotel, just to stay onsite. You cant beat it. Im assuming of course your going to Disney World.

Except a value resort room at Disney is absolutely nothing like a 2 bed apartment at Vistana. The size equivalent is a 2 bed in DVC deluxe resorts.

We stayed in a value hotel for one night during our stay and a night at HRH, as much as it was nice to roll back to the room really quickly on those nights I much preferred the apartment , it was huge in comparison and felt like a home, rather than a hotel room. I get the convenience, and liked the fun theming, but I think the walls would close in after a couple of days! ( I feel guilty saying that - I do love my family, honest!)
