I got my place at Coventry confirmed today which was excellent.

So i know all who have been accepted will be absolutely buzzing.

DS missed his grades by a considerable margin. He has been offered a place on a foundation year at his first choice , Nottingham Trent, so he will probably do that.

That would have been my DD's plan too if she'd not got her place. If your DS wanted to go to Trent and that was his first choice, it makes sense to do the Foundation year I think. All the very best to him .

I don't know about you guys, I'm exhausted already.

Didn't really sleep last night, I was up before 7am, DD was awake too, but she didn't say anything until she checked UCAS track just after 7.35, when she came bounding down the stairs to tell me she'd been accepted to both first and insurance choices. She was shaking with excitement and happiness and I'm thrilled to bits for her that she's going to her first choice uni, Manchester Met, to study International Business and Marketing.

One hour later, we were at College collecting her results. And she's disappointed with grades she got, she was hoping for a grade higher than she got in 2 of her subjects. So she's come crashing down from her earlier elation to be honest.

She just has to work through it, give her a couple of hours and she'll be back to the "it doesn't matter because I'm going to uni" vibe she was feeling first thing this morning.

Lots of highs and lows to come today I think, we saw my DD's best friend at College, she was in tears with her results, I felt so sad for her, gave her a big hug and told her I love her. Most of College is heading to Rock City tonight I think, to celebrate/commiserate with each other.
