Mobile Can’t cancel Premier Inn for July

Hi
Got Premier inn North Terminal booked for 26 July.
I have been on to cancel it.
I paid advance purchase.
I Paid £71 of which £21 was for meals
If I cancel I will lose £50 but be refunded £21.
Trouble is there is no option to cancel only to amend.
I am not happy as I should have every right to cancel this booking if I don’t want it and get meals refunded.
Premier inn are not letting me.

Anyone else had this

Thanks

I thought I read that they were refunding bookings that were non refundable. Not sure on dates affected though.

I had a non refundable room booked for 4th July, I went onto their website yesterday and put in my booking reference, I was prepared to just move the date but it allowed me to cancel, the money has been put back on my Amex card in full today.

They are currently refunding non refundable bookings until 31st May.

After that they are allowing a date change.

I actually think they are being quite fair as they don't have to offer refunds or changes on non refundable bookings at all.

They have to have some sort of cut off date otherwise anyone travelling at any time can just decide they've changed their minds and demand a full refund.

At this moment, no matter what people's personal feelings about travelling, most companies are not cancelling bookings past May (Premier Inn are accepting new bookings from May 11th I think) so officially trips after that are still going ahead. That being the case it's your choice to cancel

Alternatively sit tight and see if the closure dates are extended. Then you should get your refund no problem

As above. I would be tempted to hang fire and wait and see whether the closures are extended.

If your timings are such that you can wait without further penalties then worth a wait if you want it all back.

I have had three non refundable rooms fully refunded in the last month and upto 12th may.

Good luck.

We had our PI non refundable booking refunded, went onto the website, clicked a button and was refunded within a week, this was 2 weeks ago, our booking was for 22nd May though.

We are the same have 2 nights booked in June for £333 (it was to go to Parklife festival in Manchester) there wasn’t an option to book with cancellation so had to book with no refund option. They will allow me to move the dates but not the hotel, which I don’t want or need so I’m a bit stuck unless they change the rules. I’m ok with them keeping my money (kind of) I just would like to be able to choose the hotel. I’ve emailed a few times and it’s a no go. Maybe they will change the dates to include June and July if the lockdown continues?

Sit tight, it’s a bit too early yet, they will be hoping for the best case scenario which means they can open, if they can’t you’ll get your refund, mine took about 4 days but that was for 17th April

I have two rooms on 30th June. I obviously may need to cancel. Just put in my booking reference and there is an option to cancel... trouble is there is no mention of refund or not... don’t want to cancel it, get no refund where things could still change as we move forward 🤔

I have just checked for a booking I have for 11 July and whilst there is an option to cancel I don’t want to click on it as it doesn’t say I will get a refund. I think I will leave it for a bit longer and see if they change the dates for automatic refund.
