Very cheap BA flights BUT change in London
Just doing my usual search for cheap flights for our next trip (after October) which is 1/6/19 for two weeks. MAN-MCO has brought up several options through Skyscanner, flying with BA but it's flying MAN-LHR and then LGW-MCO. If I didn't have a toddler I'd be up for that as it's coming in at £280 including baggage. Plenty at that price with dates for a couple of weeks either side

For anyone considering this, we did MCO-LGW, LHR-GLA a couple of years ago on the way home and it was actually really easy.
Landed, had some breakfast (and coffee!) at Gatwick to make ourselves feel human, hired a car from Avis one way to LHR (fitting the cases in was fun though!). Drive round the M25 was absolutely fine as it was mid morning by that point. Dropped car at LHR and had lunch before our flight home. Not our first choice (obv!) but as a family of 5 if the savings are there we'd do it again

We came back mco-Gatwick -Heathrow - Manchester last year. Used a company called BA transfers who were great - waiting as we got through arrivals, 50 mins later we were in Heathrow. That was a Thursday morning around 8am? We left a good few hours between connections to allow for traffic. Once at Heathrow we had a coffee/ something to eat then sat in the terminal - great shops to nosey around if you are into that sort of thing. Lots of plug sockets to keep iPads/phones charged to pass the time. Would defo do it again. Kids were 10 and 13 (very active boys🤣

Who's this booking through? All the flights I've looked at around these dates state "no checked bag"

It could be a nightmare route as discovered by other Dibbers this year.

We did this last summer on the return. We got around the airport change on the way out by flying via New York and having a stop over there.
On the return we used BA transfers who were not waiting for us and were nearly an hour late. Once they arrived they were fine but I was pleased we had plenty of time built into our transfer. |

I think for that time of year you will get flights around the £300 mark without having the London transfer. Virgin usually have flights around this price for June as do Tui.

Done that transfer a few times, cost around £50-£70 each way in a taxi, there is a bus but I don't fancy it. Will be doing it again next May. Needs must for a £300 flight from Aberdeen!

We did it with a toddler a few years back and didn’t have a problem, wouldn’t hesitate to do it again if the price was right.
