Also struggling to find anything under £800 (with luggage) direct to LAX from London in the summer hols. Hoping for the price to get to £500.

I wish I had booked my flights last week when LHR-SFO direct return was £705pp inc car for 21 nights. By the time my SIL confirmed her leave off work they've now gone up to £950pp! I'm pulling my hair out as just want to get them booked so I can carry on planning! Anyone else still waiting?

Me! I’m still waiting for flight prices to go down. Looking at mid to late August. BA flydrive seems to be the cheapest at the moment but still around £1900 for 2 people. I thought it might go down in the sale but it went up! Maybe the price might go down after the sale, fingers crossed!

Taken the plunge & booked for mid August.
Man - LAX direct with Virgin, classic fare inc bags & seat choice at just under £600. Was hoping for closer to £500 but nothing was appearing and most direct prices were a LOT more! Found on skyscanner and booked via Netflights. Now planning the road trip! (Btw - cheapest car hire I found was Avis through BA website!) |

We’ve also booked MAN-LAX for the summer hols. We ideally wanted to do 16/17 nights and we are happy to fly indirect but the lure of direct for the same price swung it Unfortunately due to holiday constraints with work we can’t get any longer which fits with the MAN-LAX route. Price from MAN was significantly lower than LHR.
