Driving time from Tampa airport to highlands reserve
Hi all
We are due to land in Tampa at 20.50 and we would have cleared immigration in Atlanta so my question is how long roughly will it take us to get to our villa at highlands reserve. We are picking up the car from the airport. I’m predicting we will be in our villa for 11pm? 🤔 |

At that time of night traffic will have eased so I'd guess about 1 hour 15 minutes or so. You can check with google maps.

11pm should be about right if you are on time ... give or take!

We are here now - flying home tonight.
We were in car at 7pm on a Saturday and it took 1 hour 15 - had to slow a bit in the heavy rain as you couldn’t see out windscreen. Easy drive out the airport and to villa. Highlands Reserve is amazing! We are on Troon and can’t fault the villa or area. 15 min drive to Disney on 27 & 192 and 30 mins to Universal. I4 has been horrific traffic so we’ve stuck to 27 & 192 to get to Universal too. Publix very handy for that first evening but after that we’ve stuck to the Walmart at Cagans Crossing - 5 mins away. Anything you want to know PM me

Hi Penny,
As you can imagine, we've done this journey MANY times. Our second-ever trip to HR (the trip on which we agreed to buy our villla) was an indirect via Newark, and we were staying in a house on Troon The thing you'll be dependent on is luggage and how quick the baggage handlers are with incoming flights. We have been through in 25 minutes, and it is normally about an hour. You'll have the advantage of being through the Tampa rush hour, so 11:00 is probably conservative - you even have time to pop into Publix to grab some OJ and muffins for breakfast Regards Gary

Drove from HR to Tampa yesterday and it took 1 hour 45 as the weather was so bad and visibility was poor. Very heavy traffic too where you transfer from I4 to 275.
