Our holiday has been moved from last year so we needed our insurance in place, then we had to add our son’s new diagnosis onto it. 👍🏻

We have insurance through lloyds bank with AXA. As we booked pre covid we are covered anyway. They said if we need to change date for any reason, as long as it is done at the same as cancelling original then original cover still in place. If any of us test positive or have to isolate we are covered.

Really interested in this too as I’m about to start looking for insurance. Travelling October. I thought about leaving it until nearer the time but thought I’d start to look now.

Our party is DH, DS and myself plus three of DS’s friends, all 17. We’ve taken one of his friends a couple of times pre COVID. As a family we have been covered in the past by a policy DH has through work but this doesn’t cover other people outside the family.

As a result, we’ve previously had to get a policy for myself plus my DS’s friend as I couldn’t get insurance for just the friend because they were under 18 (if something happened to the friend, one of us would potentially need to stay behind which isn’t covered if you’re on separate policies).

DH is going to look at his group insurance scheme to see if it covers COVID for himself and DS, particularly because DH has a pemc. So I need to look for insurance for myself plus the three friends. I’m just hoping it’s not seriously expensive.

I did look on Which? a couple of months ago but there wasn’t much advice there, though there may be updates. Planning on looking at some of the comparison and money advice sites but thought I’d look here first for what others are doing.

We have been with Insure and go for annual policy for the last five years, admittedly ours is £200 per annum , no trips last year and they gave us £15 back

😳 They said as we still had slightly over 6 months left on ours that they'd refund just over half.

We haven't sorted ours yet. We have a few pemc's and I hate sorting insurance normally without having to think about whether it covers covid. We don't need to commit anymore money yet so will wait and see what gets announced.

That's pretty decent of them TBH , they also told me that if I rebooked again there were a lot of caveats ie: no Covid cover, if I took the £15 I wouldn't be eligible for a discount etc, which we usually had ( I think it was about £30 )

I was really disappointed as we have never claimed and stayed with them a long time as they were really competitive.
Sadly I will have to look for another company now to cover us.

We're the same, not sorted yet but will do when/if we hand over anymore money! Hopefully things might be a bit clearer soon.

We have Nationwide (with the bank account) - I think they cover everything except covid - that's how I read it, might be wrong.

When I looked at Staysure, it was £500 for the 5 of us (no conditions, kids now all adults, ages 18-50) - seemed a lot?
