I alway put in an order with Garden Grocer as we stay on-site and if we hire a car it usually for about 3 days. We order bottles of water, pepsi, breakfast stuff, milk, fruit and a few bits which we bring home. If you put your order in before 60 days you get a discount of 15%. Its really nice as when you get to your hotel ask bell hop to bring it to your room as they keep the delivery until you arrive.

We’ve had DDP 5 Times, never needed to buy any more food or drink. I do take a box of cereal for the room for my daughter, and I bring tea bags(and travel kettle, you only get a coffee machine in your room) then purchase milk from the resort shop. If we have a car we take a short trip to Walmart during our trip to buy treats to take home, but never need to buy any extra to eat while we are there. We refill water bottles from the water fountains in the park and get the refillable mugs free with the DDP for drinks around the pool.

Thanks all. Thinking not then especially as it's only a small fridge and room for four at port Orleans. Will bring a bit of cereal for me and a few little boxes for kids as I'm nut free and also just want to get up and go first day

We had the QSDP for two weeks last time and definitely didn't need any more food. There is more than enough for four, especially if you have smaller children, as the portions are big enough to share. If you wanted breakfast in the room on your first day then you could just pop to the food court the night before and pick up some fruit or pastries to share first thing. Or just pick something up in the park.

Our four year old - will be five -eats like a fly. Really would like her to eat more! The 7 year old eats constantly- must remember that she can have an adult meal for qsdp. I'm right in thinking that?

Yes, you can order adult meals for both of the children, so one will easily feed them both. The only exception I've found is at Wolfgang Puck Express where they have to order from the children's menu.

I'm going to use them this year for the first time. We don't hire a car so buying drinks in is a problem for us and heavy to carry when we go off-site. We usually buy all our water and soda from Disney but it'll work out far cheaper to buy them in from The Garden Grocer.

How much is a small bottle of water or coke at Disney these days?

First time we went to WDW our daughter was 5 and quite a fussy eater. She barely touched meals(breakfast buffets were a bit better) and would only really eat pots of grapes and hard boiled eggs that they sold at our resort! I stressed about it for a couple of days, then rationalised that this was only for a fortnight, when we went home she would eat normally again. This helped my stress levels, and hers, and all was well. It didn’t do her any harm to live on slightly more than fresh air for 2 weeks, and we still had a great trip!

I'm sure the small bottles of water are currently $3 at Disney. Think you can get a pack of 40 from Garden Grocer for $12. Obviously factor in the $14 delivery charge. We'll be ordering some supplies in but not sure where from at the moment (Fairytale personal shopper or Garden Grocer most likely)

Thanks useful to know. I guess there is nothing to stop us ordering in when we are there.
