I'm a Harry Potter fan but take it's popularity and treble it for Star Wars.

I like Star Wars but I am hoping it won't open before or during my September trip!
May I ask when you went exactly this February? Was it early or mid February? Just interested as I'm hesitating between February and September 2020.

We were going to go in December, but am thinking it is going to be so incredibly, massively busy that I think we'll go before it opens, but then go again in a year or so when it’s maybe a little bit quieter.

I think queues into the land will be several hours, with ride-waits 3-4 hours.

Am wondering if Disney are considering seriously considering through the night opening for the first couple of years...

I REALLY want to book for Feb 2020 but I'm concerned that Star Wars Land would make it a bit less pleasant than if we were to wait later in the year (maybe November instead?)
It’ll look like this:

Cos it’s just one ride and it’s been around since day dot of Hollywood Studios.

This is gonna be an entire immersive ‘land’ for Star Wars fans to visit. A life sized millennium falcon etc with more experiences.

Star Wars by miles .
Airline pilot friend of mine (who is also a Disney nut) belongs to a Storm Trooper Platoon. These are guys in their 40s with lots of disposable income who think nothing of dropping a couple of thousand dollars on a storm trooper outfit and spend a fortune on merchandise. The Star Wars fandom is an entirely different level. These are the people who will pay a fortune to stay at the Star Wars hotel when it opens for top dollar and an entire vacation not just a night !

Me I'm avoiding Disney completely once it opens for a wile. I saw first hand the Studios when they first opened and this will be even more crowds and hype and it will create a knock on effect with increased crowds in the other parks.
I'm looking forward to watching the launch to the media on TV though !
