Hurricane Dorian is no longer predicted to make landfall in Florida, but is instead, heading further north to Georgia and the Carolinas.

Unfortunately the MC on Sandy Ridge obviously hasn’t had any sort of training with hurricanes, they never checked on us, no torches, no info nothing, we were left to our own devices.
I understands they have families to take care of etc, but even a leaflet pushed under the door would have been handy. We had 3 days to prepare, quick trip to Publix , and their leaflet was a godsend to us. Told us what we needed to know. After Irma struck, once again nothing, it was us that informed the owner of the villa about damage, certainly not them... they showed up 2 days later, confirmed everything we had already told the owner. They are a poor management company, and I wouldn’t leave my property and guests in their hands. Oh, any yes we have been back to the same villa again. Not all management companies have great service , unfortunately |

Our m/c went out of their way to get us some waters before we arrived and we've returned to the villa this afternoon and they've been round and packed away all the patio furniture in readiness for the winds tomorrow

Get some cash as if the shops have no power when the hurricane has blown through they cannot use card machines. Power could be out for a few days.
I heard a weather reporter tell people to put their pool furniture into the pool. Not sure if that is what is normally suggested. Get the a/c on as cold as possible. Again with power outages it will be one of the major problems for most people after the storm. Good luck. |

Just checked in at AKL, they have just been around and got the chairs and tables in from the balcony. The bins are cling filmed to the posts.
They are loads of activities going on👍 |
