New ride strategy

It may be our last trip for a while so we want to be able to try and ride the new rides where possible. I know it’s hard to tell with certain rides but at this point what would your strategy be for riding:

-Hagrid motorcycle adventure
-Mickey and Minnie runaway railway
-smugglers run
-rise of the resistance

Smuggler's Run is now available on FP+ - other than that, there's a single rider line (if there's just 2 of you, there's a good chance you would end up on the same ride).

Mickey and Minnie - also available on FP+.

RoTR - at this stage, it's a lottery at park opening time to get a boarding pass, so you need to be there at least 45 mins before park opening to be sure to be in HS on time. And even then, there's no guarantee you'll get a boarding pass.

I'm going around the same time as you and I'm hoping that RoTR will have FP+ in place by then, but for now that's the only strategy available.

Hagrid - either ride early or last thing before closing time.

We got to islands of adventure at 8am and joined the queue.we were off the ride by 9.15 am x

I would fastpass Smugglers Run and Minnie and Mickey. By the time you go ROTR might be on fast pass system too, if it isn’t and they are still doing boarding groups there is nothing else for it but to get there at opening and try to get one. We have actually decided we won’t be bothering with the boarding groups process. I am hoping that Hagrid’s will be on express system by the time we go again in December or that at least they do an early opening in IoA. If not, then again I would go for opening.
