I’ve done both - they are completely different experiences,
At universal it’s like a massive themed area, like walking into a crowded hogsmead or Diagon alley, it a few hours of fun - best enjoyed in that extra hour you get staying onsite! The studio tour is a real behind the scenes look at everything - the sets and pops, the production, there’s a few attractions but it’s proper Harry Potter buff stuff - it’s a great afternoon if your children are interested in that stuff (we took about 4.5/5 hours to get round) And theyre always adding to it, however 500 euros is a lot! I’d say with 250euros in flights and accommodation on top you’d need to spend a couple days in London and really make the most of it rather then a quick hop for the tour!

Do Universal while you are out there and do the Sets in Watford another time. They are not going away. They are worth doing though.

Universal! HP there blew me away.
I liked the Warner Bros Tour but not something I would do again.

We've done both and US is by far the better experience if I had to choose between the two.

I think I would also tag on days at Universal this time however they are very different experiences and so do make sure you visit the Watford studios at some point as it really is fab

Two very different experiences, no comparison really, but if you haven’t been to Universal since 2010 I would opt for that

Having just been to Warner Bros a couple of weekends ago, and having visited Universal numerous times, I have to say I was a little disappointed with the studios tour.
I know they are two separate and totally different things but for me the tour didn't have the wow factor that Universal has and was just an 'ok' day out. For me it's a no brainer. |

I don't think you can compare both places. We loved both, US is a great atmosphere with some brilliant rides, WB tour really gets under the skin of how the movies were made with some brilliant sets and loads of props. Like I said both totally different but both worth a visit.

Depends how much of a Harry Potter fan you are.
One is based on Harry Potter and one is the actual sets . I like the one in Orlando but it’s not the same as the studio tour |
