Flight increase for friends-HELP!

I don't know if it was because it was at booking but we have one booking with VH but have different members in different classes. My parents are in PE and the rest of us (11) are in EC. The only thing different is they had a separate ref for VA to book seats.
Not sure why they can't do it after.

Took to twitter. Long chat. Although I walked into a TC shop and booked a TC flight/package... THEY PUT THE BOOKING THRU Gold Medal! (a package company they used to own!) but who were cheaper than booking direct thru TC! and Gold Medal don't have access to PE so I cant book it thru them.

I just find when you want to pay money to someone for something they should say YES heres the price, whats your bank card number... END OF... not Yeah but No but Yeah...

so all that says I agree with your post... and relax!

Nah Last year was the big trip

this year is the budget no stress trip.

seeing what its like pretending not to care.

Anyway I NEED to upgrade to premium just so I can get bumped and claim 75% back! Again!

been temped to fire off an email to the head honchos but figured what the hey, that's so last year!

I cant really complain can I? 5 bums on seats high season return for £1350.

sounds like bs to me, im with you, cant understand why you cant upgrade just yourselves and pay the extra. its not like if you want to add more luggage for one person then everyone has to have more. Id try phoning again, ive had it before (with thomson), one customer service person said i couldnt book a seat before 60 days, hung up, called straight back and the next person i spoke to did it immediately.

I agree OP you should be able to upgrade just 2 seats without a penalty to the people not upgrading.

I would take it further, not sure it will get you anywhere though. Sorry not helpful but I would try!

It does not help you but that is why I got my sister to book her own flights.

Can you access manage my flights on VA website? Might be worth checking if there's an option to upgrade showing on there?

If booked via VH you cannot upgrade online with VA, you have to ring VH.
Op did you book via VH and not VA ? That's the problem if you did.

Not with virgin or to Florida, were going to Lanzarote this summer with Thomsons. There's 8 of us on one booking, and my 4 have booked extra leg room seats and my sisters 4 are staying in normal seats. There was no problem doing this, there must be a way around if they probably just don't want to look into it further!
