Date to book tickets
We are looking to travel in 2023. We have miles We are going to use so not looking at flights till 11months before. As we don't know the exact date does it matter when booking disney tickets? Or can it be an approx date?
It's all changed since we went 2 years ago. Thanks so much |

The start date matters now as that's when the ticket will activate, rather than when you first use them in the parks like in previous years. You should be able to amend this at a later point but check with who you intend to purchase through to ensure they allow amendments.
But unless you're booking an onsite hotel offer that needs tickets to qualify for, there's no need to purchase them more than 2-3 months in advance. By which point you should know your dates. |

As mentioned above, you now have to select the start date of the new UK Magic tickets. The 14-day Magic tickets will now expire 18 days after that start date, whereas previously they used to expire 14 days after the first day of use. So you need to have a good idea of when your holiday will start before buying the tickets.
Personally, I would wait until after you've booked your flights before booking park tickets. As loldis mentions above, there's really no reason to buy them much more than about 3 months in advance.

The tickets are priced around the date you select, and the date you select will be your start date. As others have said no real reason to book so far in advance, I'd suggest waiting until black friday as that is when the best deals tend to come out, by then you may have your flights sorted.
