ive seen posts of people buying them over in florida but wondered whats the price difference to our country, is it a big saving at all?

Typically they're the same price in $ and £ although you do need to add US sales tax on top of the Apple quoted prices. And technically, depending on price, you should declare them on the way back and pay import duty as the personal allowance is only £390.

I don't personally find the cost saving to be worth it, I'd rather buy one from the Apple refurb store. I get all Apple goods this way and they're in perfect condition.

its usually the same £ as in $. So I bought mine for $399 instead of £399, so I saved the difference in the conversion rate, which at the time was about 1.28

Good call on the refurbs, and if buying in the US you can get them delivered to local Apple store, only 6.5% sales tax to add on so still cheaper than the U.K.
