This shows it being right next to Cabana 9a , 9b has been demolished and the rest of the area looks like the main car parks at the entrance to the resort is the area that is being built on.

Well I am booked to go to CSR at the end of October, so for me there is no point in looking at current construction photos as it will all have changed by then.
This will be our first time time staying at a Disney Resort and the construction is not putting me off one bit. I plan to be at the parks all day and not bothered about sitting around a pool, so I'm just really excited to be staying on site. |

Positive outlook. Maybe the CM meant by the time we were due to check in come October the building work may have moved (though doesn't look likely to be honest given the scale) So I'm still completely baffled why she said the cabanas were not affected but casitas were. Nonetheless happy to have moved. I hope you enjoy your stay

Thought I'd boost this back up , I know things are not as bad here as at CBR but has anyone else enquired about a move / compensation for staying at CSR while this construction is going on ?
I'm still not sure wether to ask for a move or not , last time I was at CSR the nearest quiet pool was shut for refurb and was an inconvenience , this construction seems to be quite major and not sure exactly what the impact will be .

I seem to be the only one so far, but yes they moved me. I spoke to a lovely guy called Dale whom works in guest care. The First Lady I spoke to - very nice mind - wanted £500 for me to move to POFQ but when I spoke to Dale I still had to pay, but only £92 for a guaranteed king bed in a garden view room. I think though if I was a CBR guest the move would have been free. My advice, ask as you've nothing to lose! (Expect maybe £92)

We still haven't heard anything official from the TA.
My friend is of the opinion to leave it and see what the photos show in a couple of months. If it looks like cranes etc are moving in, and walkways have been closed then we might mention something. Otherwise we turn up in August and if it really is an eyesore we'll mention something to Disney then, although I doubt we will be moved as I imagine that all CBR guests will be in POR & POFQ! I'm just really unhappy that my once in a lifetime holiday is going to be spoilt, no matter what anyone says. I for one don't want to look at high green fences and it looks like we will see it on arrival at the resort, we will see it when eating at El Centro. Probably hear it as I lie by the pool, and all of this is without the areas closed for room refurbs! |

Now I am really unhappy.
Having found this warning information on bookings to be made through the Disney Site, I would never have booked CSR. We need to tell you something! Disney's Coronado Springs Resort will be undergoing refurbishment until 2019. This includes the addition of a brand new 15-storey tower and a renovation of the guest rooms and the Convention Center. The refurbishment of the guest rooms will be taking place in blocks and every effort will be made to ensure guests are kept away from the work taking place. Any noise impact will be kept to a minimum between the hours of 09:00 -17:00 and guests may experience some alternative paths of travel. So its not enough that the tower is getting built, and rooms are getting refurb, they are also refurbishing the convention centre. Isn't that where the Casitas Rooms are near? Hmm, doesn't bode well for all room areas really! Rancheros - Room Refurbs - possible noise and little construction going on Cabanas - Next to & looking at a building site, major construction going on Casistas - Next to the convention centre, more construction? Dare I ask if El Centro is staying, or is that going to close as well! |

Exactly! It's not hard to put it all together really that come October works will be fully underway but in lots of different areas of the resort
