I know the pain all too well, when I was younger living at home, our life long family dogs that where their since I was a baby died off one by one (15-16 years old ) & the only way my parents could fill the void was to bring another pup into the fold, but now we have our own dog Walt, who is 9 now but still acts like a pup & when I think what might be one day or the decision you have had to make, it literally breaks my heart as he is my boy.
Not great sitting at work with tears lol.

Sorry to hear this. Concerned we may have a decision like this to make with our cat. He's had problem with one eye which we thought was improving after referral to specialist but now both eyes are affected and we are back off to eye specialist tomorrow at 9am for him to have fine needle aspiration of both eyes to extract some cells. Concern originally was lymphoma so the improvement was welcome but now that's firmly back on the agenda. He's a protection cat who had a real hard time apparently so he's due some luck.

Oh poor thing ... I hope the tests come back with good results as like you say he deserves a break and a happy life with you .

Sorry to hear of your loss. It is such a difficult decision as it is so hard to watch them suffer but at the same time, you know how much you'll miss them. May all the happy memories of the past 15 years bring you comfort.
