Hiring a car and driving to DLP

Hi, Im just wondering has anyone driven to DLP from the UK in a hire car. What car company did you use and what was the excess of driving abroad?
Looking at going with friends of ours. So there will be 7 of us. and we all wanted to go together.
Any advise would be most welcome.

I have not done that but you must make sure that the hire car agreement you have will allow you travel to another country. It will add a bit of cost. Alternatives is to hire a car in France which would not cost as much

I tried to do this a few year back but unfortunately I couldn't find a car hire company that would let me take a car to France.

Things may have changed since then so I would be interested in how you get on as I'd love to drive again with us all in one car.

I have found 2 local companies. For a seven seater it was about �450 for a week. It was about a �120 extra for driving abroad with additional driver
This is not till next Christmas. Just wanted to see if it's possible.
