Miami south beach

So, we’re busy (ok I lie DH is busy) putting together our Christmas trip.

We’re flying in & out of Miami & want to spend a couple of days in Miami before we fly home - any suggestions for a family friendly beach location hotel ? !

Depends on what your budget is really! We wanted less than £150 per night including fees for an Art Deco hotel on South Beach and stayed at the Pestana. The rooms were just the tiniest bit shabby and there is no lifts but apart from that its a nice hotel. Breakfast is even included for free! Its not fancy but has a pool and is a short stroll to the beach.
There is much fancier to be had though if you have the budget!
Just avoid Ocean Drive seeing as you have kids as its very noisy.

We pay d just over £150 a night for the Villa Italia, a clean beige hotel a block back from Ocean Drive at the end of the beach nearest the Big Pink cafe. Great location, quiet and handy for the beach, though a good walk along to the livelier parts of South Beach. It was fine, though I don’t know if they do family rooms. A nasty sugary breakfast (Variety packs of Fruit Loops and muffins in plastic) was laid out in the small reception and included in the price.
