New covid variant cases

I doubt if we will be going on our trip in 2 weeks now that there are cases in the UK
I've got a feeling the borders will be closing pretty soon
anyone else travelling soon feel the same?

We were meant to be spending xmas day there but have decided to cancel, wasn�t worth the stress of worrying!

We have to pay our balance in two weeks. Keeping a close eye on things. Hoping it�s only a storm in a tea cup.

We fly tomorrow - I haven't a clue what we're supposed to be doing re testing now!

We are supposed to be going on the 15th December, I think we will be cancelling (moving dates). Things may change quickly and I really don't want the stress right up to the day we go. Or to be isolating over Christmas. Gutted!

I have decided to cancel our New Year trip due to go on 29 Dec for 3 nights, if they keep it to PCR tests day 2 it�s not good for my DH to wait for result re work and I�d be worrying whilst there even for the 3 nights!
Now 4th cancelled trip and originally booked for DD who was 18 in first lockdown!
Hoping we get there next August🤞

Maybe it�s a good thing it�s already in lots of countries? If it�s already there, it�s too late to bother trying to stop it getting there.

Do we even know if it�s worse than any other variant yet?
