Always stay off-site and use them. Go to the Disney store at Premium outlets and buy from there...less than $5 each

Scratch that. Here's the link:
disneyworld.disney.go/re...erness-resort/ Doesn't work that well on a mobile. Make sure you're on United States (English) at the top right hand side. |

If you book a stay at the campsite but don't check in, how do you get your magic bands and parking?

I would like to know the answer to this too? Sounds very tempting. Although a search on the link provided only returned hotels and not the campground. Is this likely to mean that the campground is full on the date I selected? Or is there a different link for booking the campground?

no, your magicbands are like a park ticket you wear on your wrist, they work regardless of whether you're offsite or not. So they give you access to the parks instead of scanning your park tickets at the gate entrances. If you have memory maker included on your park tickets, your magicband works to give you your photos for memory maker too. You just need to have a My Disney Experience account set up, and link your park tickets/memory maker to it.

Thanks for this. But my question is about the length of time the magicbands will be valid for if you are only booking a one night stay onsite as suggested. Are the magicbands only valid for your time as a guest? Or are you saying that they are linked to your park passes and not your stay onsite?

We did this last year and it worked a treat. We went to the campsite to check-in and collect the magic bands, just drove through the site and back out again - was all done in about 15 mins.
The magic band will work the entire length of your ticket (we had bought a 14 day ticket). The free parking is for the day you check-in and the next day. You can book FPs from 60 days out on a daily rolling basis (well, actually - you can book the first two days at the same time), then the rest is a day at a time IYKWIM Once you booked it, you can link your tickets on the MDE and personalise your Magic Bands. Would definitely recommend for people staying off-site.
