I’m just completely confused as to why we now can’t take speedy decisive action to stop these protestors for once and for all.
We just seem to be going around in constant circles!
This is wreaking havoc and the public deserves better!

It’ll be over after Easter, newspapers reporting XR were asking people to book time off over Easter to take part in all the upcoming ‘demonstrations’.

Personally I think it shouldn’t have got this far. What with the cost of living people are struggling as it is, yet alone now being disrupted in their day to day lives when it shouldn’t be happening.

I probably sound defeatist in that they can protest all they like but it takes every mass producer to reduce/stop not just the U.K. reminds me of years back with the greenham common protests although the protesters appear more vindictive and hateful now in their desire to impact the general public.

I believe that this protest is due to end on the 17th. Until the next one of course!
I’ve just been on to the ER website and now I completely understand how they are seemingly allowed to continue as infinitum.
There is every single charge that could be used against them with knowledge of how to behave and what precise powers the police have and how to counteract it.
Of course there is always the use of our taxes providing legal aid if they qualify.
For each offence there is a list of potential fines/sentences.
This seems in many instances to be no greater than £200.
There would seem to be a great deal of specialist back up for anyone actually arrested.
Some actions which I assumed broke the law don’t!
I’m fairly certain that in the pandemic emergency powers were put in place very quickly to keep the public behaving according to the new rules. It seems a shame to me that the will doesn’t seem to be there to tackle this in the same way.

It took us 7 hours to pick up DS from Uni in Canterbury yesterday! We live in Essex so journey normal takes around 4 hours round trip. The traffic was horrendous! Luckily got fuel on the way but when we finally got home the nearest petrol station to use had ran out.

This is so unfair! I live very close to Canterbury so I feel your pain. Dealing with all the traffic disruption was bad enough and now we have additional traffic driving around desperately seeking fuel!

I don’t understand this:- “ready to consider? !”
What have we got around the country If it’s not serious disruption!?
How much longer do we have to put up with this before the impact of these actions warrants action more than being ready to consider action?

The police should just leave them and ignore anything that happens the British public would sort it out

That’s a very good plan.
I’m a very non violent person but I won’t relay on here the thoughts that were going through my head today as I was struggling to turn right to go home with a complete blocked road ahead as cars were coming from all angles attempting to get the last dribble of petrol from Tescos!

We drove from Hertfordshire to Dover today to see family and it took us over 4 hours!
Luckily took just under 2 hours on the way back.
Our Costco had loads of fuel thankfully as lots of petrol stations round here were empty on Thursday.

It definitely seems as if some areas are being impacted far more than others. Sadly we are one of the hardest hit again I fear.

Us Northern Irish folk are mostly a lovely and welcoming bunch but I can tell you we wouldn't put up with this sort of nonsense.

I really do feel for any of you that have to endure this stupidity.
