Dublin and Immigration times
Hi all. Im looking at travelling with Aer Lingus via Dublin. Ive found a flight from Manchester with a 1h40m layover in Dublin. Is this enough time to clear immigration. My other option is a 3h50m layover. Anybody done a 1h40m layover, how did it go.

I would advise the 3hr50m one - just to allow for any delays on UK leg.

It's too tight...do u really want to start your holiday in a panic running like a lunatic and praying immigration is quiet? I know 4 hours sounds like a long time but by the time you get off the plane freshen up, get a bite to eat it will be time to board again. We have a lovely lounge called 51st and Green which is after immigration if you wanted to spend a few bob. Its pricey but once in food and bar are free. There are also showers to freshen up if you wanted. Hope that helps!

I've booked from Birmingham, had the choice between 2 hours and 6 hours. Went for the 6 hours just in case BHX to DUB is delayed.
Especially as we are flying on a Saturday and the next Aer Lingus flight to MCO is Monday. DH wasn't keen on the idea but would rather be a little bored than miss 2 days of our holiday. |

This is the same thought process we had, rather have a long connection in case of delays / cancellations etc

We’ve gone for the longer connection and are thinking of booking the lounge.

Had the same from Edinburgh decided on the earlier flight just in case of delays. Have previously booked 51st and Green when flying from there.
Alternatively fly previous day and stay overnight at a hotel (we stayed at the Premier Inn).

I have flown Man- Dub today and it took me 1 hr 40 min from landing, get a bus to connections, security screen and pre clearance. And that was with priority ticket through security. So would definately do the longer connection.

What did you think of the lounge?
Fairly mixed reviews on trip adviser but I’m thinking it would be a good idea.
