New years eve magic kingdom
Just returned and just giving a few tips really.i thought it would close when it was full and we wouldn't get in but they let you in if you are a resort guest even at full capacity. We went in for 7am magic hours thinking we had to stay all day.We had heard that it would be bad for traffic etc but we used the Disney buses. We left the park at 1pm and went back in that night no problem at all.yes it is busy but next time i would go i would just go in late afternoon as its a long day.Yes it was packed but the atmosphere was amazing and i found empty toilets near gastons tavern. So best tip is stay onsite to guarantee entry. We just booked 2 nights onsite
We also booked lunch at BOG just to get a break really and pre ordered thankfully as the line was huge outside we just walked straight to the till to pay.Seemed sad though paying when we usually have the dining plan Edited at 03:40 PM. |

Sounds like you had a great time!
Did you watch the fireworks inside the park? We are visiting next NYE and are staying onsite at Bay Lake Tower. I’m thinking of booking the dessert party for 30th Dec to watch the NYE fireworks inside the park and then on the night itself we will probably watch them from our balcony as we will be with relatives celebrating my uncles 60th birthday - can’t wait! 👍 |

Just a word of caution that all parks will have a breaking point capacity in which even resort guests aren’t allowed in.
Looks like NYE May have only hit a phase two closure, which is where only resort guests can enter. Phase three would stop entry to everyone except those with dining reservations within the park. Phase 4 (rarely hit) would be where they can’t accept anyone else into the park. Even then phase four only happens for a short while.

They said we would get in even if it was full we asked the question a few times at the ticket desk.she said it would be very rare and generally never happens for stage 4
We just went by what they told us on the day |
