September weather is it his and miss

Regardless of my tag line

September 10th for ten to 14 days.

Weather wise is this hit and miss time re hurricanes and rain

We have been four times in this part of the year with no major issues. I wondered how others have faired?

As signtalker says this year we found it very hot & humid but only 1 day did we have a 10 min shower. Have been there a few years ago when we have had to take our shoes off after leaving restaurant at 10pm to wade through a couple of inches of water in an absolute downpour

We went this Sept. No rain at all bar 2 5 minutes spells whilst we were (luckily) eating.

The fears about the weather are (IMO) exaggerated by many.

The last 2 years we’ve had very little rain but then we were caught in Irma in 2017. We’ve also had a trip where we basically had rain almost constantly for 2 weeks. So yes, hit and miss!

We went this year from 12th - 28th Sept and only had one short spell of rain late one afternoon and that only lasted about 30/40mins. Was very hot and humid but this is the second time we have been at this time of year and will be back in September again next year.

Last year I went for 14 nights from 13th September and it was dry, hot and sunny. We had 2 hours of rain one afternoon and that was it. September just gone I went for 10 nights from 16th September and it was dry the whole time apart from one very light half hour shower one afternoon. It was sunny most of the time, a bit cloudy every now and again, very hot the whole time. Next year I'm going for 11 nights from 13th September
