Universal Tip for Elderley or disabled

Just back from Orlando. Anyone going to Universal with an elderley or disabled person, go to Guest Services and ask for an Assistance card. This covers parties to a maximum of 6. This will enable you to bypass the lines ( as a fast pass does) but will avoid the lines at Harry Potter. You just show you card and the attendant will give you a time to return within 30 minutes. You then go straight in. At the time we went the waiting time was over 2 hours, so this was great for us.
You do have to get a card for each visit.

They have changed this then? as when we went in 08 and 09 we had the pass for my DS7 who has ASD & ADHD and we were just told to go into the fast pass queues in Universal, is it just WWOHP where you get told to come back within 30 mins or all the rides at Universal/IOA?.

No, it is just Harry Potter as the fast pass system does not apply to this ride.

Universal have changed their assistance pass system since your last visit, Martin. There is no special needs express pass now. What happens is that if a ride has more than a 30 minute wait and you or one of your party are unable to wait in line due to special needs the CM at the entrance will write on iyour pass a return time equivalent to the wait time. When you return at that time you will be allowed to enter via the express line if there is one or to bypass the regular line as you have already waited. When we were there in July the pass was not valid for any of the WWOHP attractions so that is a more recent change and will be very helpful as these attractions often have the longest lines.
