Hooray for Disneys special needs policy adn GAC
Hooray for the GAC card. My DS13 has aspergers and i hadf been worrying hugely baout how we were all going to manage. We then forgot our docs letters, but shouldn't have done. We all went in to guest relations and I kept DS (along with his two brothers) on a bench at the back while DH went andtold the CM. He said that he only had to say that he had aspergers and hte card was written. We went expecting to be put in side rooms, or given a fast pass with return time on it, but found that we were let straight onto rides. Although it isn't for shows and character meet and greets we found that some CM's were very understanding esp when it was one where the charaters rotated and DS wanted a specific character ... initally we had a meltdown, but they sorted it. Even when we went to Beach club front desk saying we were finding all being inteh same room tricky, tey helped, by moving us to a room with a balcony ... effectively another room. So well done Disney, you helped us out and gave us a fab holliday.

Completely agree - been using them this week in the parks we've visited on this holiday and a thumbs up for them!

sometimes on here we only see the bad bits, people dont post about the good things Disney and the like have done. Its great that they were able to help you - though you dont expect anything less from disney, they are so caring.

thanks for the post, its one of my worries to, Emma has right temporal lobe dysfunction, (very similar traits to autisim), and one of my worries is how she will cope, and I do plan on getting the gac pass, but its good to know that you had a positive experience.
